Breakfast will come with a chance to meet local breast-health resource providers at Sherman Medical Center on Friday, Oct. 16.

Sherman Medical Center and Women Rock Inc. are organizing Brake4Breakfast from 6:30 to 8:30 a.m. at 500 N. Highland Ave., according to the city's Oct. 4–17 manager's report. The early start puts the event before the workday for many residents.

Organizers say breakfast will be provided. The morning also includes music, breast-health education and an opportunity to connect with Women Rock representatives onsite.

The announcement says additional activities and possible health-testing promotions were still being developed. It does not confirm testing at the breakfast, so residents should follow Sherman Medical Center's updates for those details rather than treat the gathering as a scheduled screening appointment.

All times are local to Sherman.
