Sherman-Denison drivers were paying an average of about $3.83 a gallon for regular gasoline Wednesday, roughly 6 cents below the Texas average, according to AAA’s Oct. 7 price report.
The metro average fell 2.6 cents from Tuesday to $3.8286. Statewide, regular averaged $3.8904.
The daily decline offers some relief, but a fill-up still costs more than it did a month ago. The local average was $3.5108 then, a difference of nearly 32 cents a gallon. A 15-gallon purchase at Wednesday’s average would cost about $57.43, or $4.77 more than at the month-earlier average.
