FC Dallas needed one goal and seven saves to beat the Seattle Sounders 1-0 on Wednesday night at Toyota Stadium.

The goal came in the 63rd minute. After a Dallas corner, defender Osaze Urhoghide headed the ball to Kaick in the center of the box, and Kaick hit a right-footed volley into the top left corner.

Goalkeeper Daniel did the rest. Seattle had 57 percent of possession, 16 shots, seven of them on target, and 11 corners, and Daniel stopped all seven shots he faced on goal. Seattle's Andrew Thomas made two saves.

The result ended Seattle's four-match winning streak and a nine-match unbeaten run, according to the Associated Press recap on ESPN. Kaick's goal was his fourth of the season, and Urhoghide's assist was his third.

The first half finished 0-0 after a stoppage for an injury to Seattle's Stuart Hawkins. Dallas picked up two late yellow cards, to Patrickson Delgado and Daniel.

Dallas, coming off a 3-2 loss at Charlotte, has 50 points (14 wins, 8 draws, 7 losses) and sits third in the Western Conference standings on ESPN. Seattle has 41 points. Dallas plays at Houston on Saturday.
