Sherman, Texas — Gas prices in the Sherman-Denison area averaged $3.5380 per gallon for regular unleaded on July 21, 2026, according to AAA, down from $3.5820 yesterday. That is up from $3.3010 a week ago but higher than $3.2140 a month ago.
The statewide average in Texas stands at $3.6150, while the national average is $4.0190. Drivers in the Sherman-Denison area are paying below the state average and below the national average.
The Sherman-Denison average remains below its AAA recorded high of $4.8150. Regular prices are about 32 cents higher than a month ago. Compared with a year ago, when the metro average was $2.7620, drivers are paying about 78 cents more per gallon.
