Sherman, Texas — Gas prices in the Sherman-Denison area averaged $3.6720 per gallon for regular unleaded on July 23, 2026, according to AAA, up from $3.5980 yesterday. That is up from $3.6260 a week ago but higher than $3.2080 a month ago.
The statewide average in Texas stands at $3.7080, while the national average is $4.0910. Drivers in the Sherman-Denison area are paying below the state average and below the national average.
The Sherman-Denison average remains below its AAA recorded high of $4.8150. Regular prices are about 46 cents higher than a month ago. Compared with a year ago, when the metro average was $2.7140, drivers are paying about 96 cents more per gallon.
