Two women from Grayson County sustained injuries in a vehicle collision that occurred on Sunbeam Road. The incident took place Thursday afternoon around 3:15 PM in the 400 block of Sunbeam Road, specifically at the intersection with Mulberry Street.
Responding to the scene were the Leitchfield Police, Fire Departments, and Emergency Medical Services (EMS). According to reports, an elderly woman from Leitchfield was driving a Kia Rio and attempted to make a turn onto Mulberry Street when her vehicle collided with a Ford Escape driven by another woman from Grayson County.
The impact caused both vehicles to veer off the road and into nearby ditches. The elderly driver of the Kia was transported to Baptist Health Hardin by EMS, while the driver of the Ford Escape was taken to Owensboro Health Twin Lakes Medical Center by private means.
