The City of Sherman is preparing to host its 45th Annual Sherman Arts Fest on September 19. The event is designed to provide entertainment for families and residents across the region.
The day will start with a 5K and Fun Run organized by the Sherman Education Foundation. Following the run, the main festival activities begin at 9:00 a.m. The Sherman High School Band will perform on the Gazebo stage, where Mayor Teamann will deliver a welcome address.
Live music and performing arts groups will take place on two separate stages. In addition to the Gazebo stage, performances will occur on the Maxwell Stage, located at the intersection of West Mulberry and North Elm streets.
Art exhibitions will be a central feature of the day. The Sherman Art League will present its Art Show and Sale inside the Sherman Municipal Ballroom. Additionally, Sherman Parks and Recreation will host a Youth Art Show on a stage within the same ballroom.
Vendors will operate from 9:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. The event will feature a wide selection of food vendors and booths selling unique items. Organizers are inviting local businesses and artists to sign up as vendors for the festival.
