Thompson was hurt in the Cowboys’ 34-31 defeat against the Baltimore Ravens in Brazil. Dallas was close to sending the game to overtime, but Baltimore connected on a long pass and then kicked the winning field goal.
Dallas entered that matchup with a 1-2 record. The Cowboys had surrendered a productive offensive showing by the New York Giants in Week 1, then allowed Marcus Mariota to make plays late in Week 2.
