Five Texans missed Wednesday’s practice with injuries, and tight end Dalton Schultz was also unavailable because of rest. Offensive tackle Trent Brown was listed with knee and wrist issues, while defensive end Jadeveon Clowney had a knee injury. Wide receiver Nico Collins was sidelined by a hamstring problem.

Linebacker Jake Hummel and offensive guard Ed Ingram each had groin injuries. Collins suffered his hamstring injury during practice last week and then missed the Texans’ Week 2 loss to the Bengals. No additional details were provided about the other injuries.

Three defensive players participated on a limited basis. Will Anderson Jr. was resting, and Logan Hall and M.J. Stewart were limited by knee injuries. Safety Reed Blankenship and linebacker Wade Woodaz, who both have thumb injuries, participated fully.
