The Houston Texans have made changes to their roster, signing center Gavin Gerhardt and quarterback Mark Gronowski to their practice squad while releasing rookie defensive tackle Dominic Bailey. This information was reported by KPRC 2’s Aaron Wilson.

Bailey's departure comes after a short stint back on the practice squad, having been cut during the team's final roster decisions to meet the 53-player limit. Additionally, the Texans released Ka’ena De Cambra, who had only been with the team for a week after being signed on September 1.

Gronowski previously played for the Dolphins and Hawkeye Football, while Gerhardt, a seventh-round draft pick in 2026, is recognized for his leadership and football intelligence. He started 49 games in college and is expected to enhance the depth of the Texans' offensive line, which now includes Gerhardt along with Evan Brown and Jake Andrews, as well as rookie first-round pick Keylan Rutledge.

The Texans are focused on developing Gerhardt's skills, emphasizing his understanding of the game and fit within the team's culture. The full impact of these roster changes remains to be seen.
