The Houston Texans are looking into the possibility of signing cornerback Jaden Davis, who was formerly with the Arizona Cardinals. Recently cleared to play, Davis took part in a workout with the Texans, as reported by KPRC 2's Aaron Wilson on September 5.

Davis was drafted by the Cardinals in the sixth round of the 2024 NFL Draft, being the 226th overall selection. His workout was shared on social media, showcasing his readiness to return to the field.

The Texans are aiming to strengthen their cornerback position, which has been impacted by injuries since 2025. Currently, Jalen Pitre, a safety, is stepping in to fill the nickelback position, while Jaylin Smith, selected in the third round of the 2025 draft, has faced challenges due to injuries that limited his rookie season.

According to The Athletic's draft guide, Davis is noted as one of the top remaining prospects. NFL draft analyst Lance Zierlein characterized him as a nickel corner with notable foot speed and agility, though he will need to enhance his anticipation skills to improve his performance in the NFL. Updates regarding Davis's status and potential signing with the Texans are anticipated as the situation unfolds.
