Nico Collins’ availability is still uncertain as the Texans prepare for their Week 4 matchup with the Cowboys. Houston has started the season 0-3, and its offense has struggled in the two games Collins has missed. CBS Sports reported the update.
The wide receiver is recovering from a Grade 1 hamstring strain and has not practiced over the past two weeks. Texans coach DeMeco Ryans said Monday that he hopes Collins will be able to play against Dallas.
Collins would likely need to return to practice between Wednesday and Friday, even on a limited basis, to have a realistic opportunity to play Sunday. Ryans’ comments were hopeful, but Collins’ status beyond that remains unclear.
