The Dallas Cowboys have completed their roster adjustments to meet the NFL's 53-player deadline, resulting in several notable cuts. Among those waived were second-year running back Jaydon Blue and former second-round pick Sam Williams. In an unexpected decision, quarterback Joe Milton III was also released, despite having a strong preseason.
Following these roster changes, the Cowboys claimed running back Emari Demercado off waivers and signed offensive tackle Wanya Morris. Many of the released players were retained by being added to the practice squad, which now features a combination of rookies and veterans, including Israel Abanikanda (RB), Jordan Hudson (WR), and Justin Barron (LB).
Several players made a mark during the preseason, particularly wide receiver Jordan Hudson and defensive tackle Tommy Dunn, who were recognized for their performances. Some players who were cut have found new opportunities, with Julius Wood joining the Miami Dolphins and guard Trevor Keegan signing with the Minnesota Vikings.
Jaydon Blue, along with others, has signed with practice squads of different NFL teams, marking a new chapter in their careers.
