Honey moves into the competitive kitchen at the State Fair of Texas on Wednesday, Sept. 30, when the opening-week cooking calendar pairs the Honey Magic Ingredient contest with the Texas Beekeepers Honey contest.
The two listings offer a different food story from the concession stands: one day on the calendar devoted to honey, followed by a succession of recipe competitions. The competitions sit within the fair's Creative Arts program, which includes both work judged before the fair and cooking events held during its run.
