Dean Kremer delivered a masterful performance on the mound, pitching seven innings of one-run ball to earn the win for the Minnesota Twins. The right-hander allowed just three hits and one earned run while walking none and striking out four batters.
His stability anchored the Twins’ offense, which managed to string together enough runs to secure a 6-4 victory over the visiting Texas Rangers at Target Field.
Kremer’s outing was characterized by precision rather than power. He did not issue a single walk throughout his seven innings, forcing contact and keeping the Rangers’ lineup off balance. The Twins’ bullpen provided support in the later frames, though they faced some challenges as the game progressed.
Scoring Sequence
The Twins took an early lead in the first inning when Keaschall scored on a sacrifice fly by Bell to center field, making it 1-0. Texas responded in the third inning when Jansen homered to left-center, tying the game at 1-1. However, Minnesota regained the advantage later in the same inning. Bell hit a two-run home run to right field, extending the lead to 3-1.
The Twins added two more runs in the fifth inning. Jeffers walked and advanced on a single by Clemens, allowing Keaschall to score from third base. Clemens then scored himself as the inning progressed, pushing the margin to 5-1.
The Rangers began to chip away at the deficit in the eighth inning. Díaz hit a home run to left-center, followed by Lewis hitting a solo shot to center field, bringing the score to 5-3.
