Sherman, Texas — Gas prices in the Sherman-Denison area averaged $3.2050 per gallon for regular unleaded on July 8, 2026, according to AAA, up from $3.1300 yesterday. That is unchanged from a week ago and lower than $3.4370 a month ago.

The statewide average in Texas stands at $3.3530, while the national average is $3.7960. Drivers in the Sherman-Denison area are paying below the state average and below the national average.

The Sherman-Denison average remains below its AAA recorded high of $4.8150. Regular prices are about 23 cents lower than a month ago. Compared with a year ago, when the metro average was $2.7150, drivers are paying about 49 cents more per gallon.

Diesel in the Sherman-Denison area averages $4.1630 per gallon, AAA reported.
