Grayson County residents gathered on Friday to learn about healthier lifestyles at an event organized by Sherman Medical Center. The facility hosted its fourth annual Grayson County Health Fair, aiming to provide community members with resources designed to help them improve their well-being.
The fair included participation from local healthcare providers who offered free health screenings and wellness education. Shelley Dunnam, the director of business development at the center, emphasized the shared goal of maintaining good health among attendees.
"If there’s one thing we all have in common, it’s that we all want to be healthy. We have a life to live and our health is a big part of that. So seeing everybody having a good time while also celebrating ways that we can stay healthier is a really big thing for our community," Dunnam said.
Dunnam noted that planning for the next iteration of the event is already underway. The fifth annual fair is scheduled to take place on the last Friday in September.
