Baylor will turn to Nate Bennett for a second straight start Saturday against Louisiana Tech, with DJ Lagway sidelined by an ankle injury. Lagway, a transfer from Florida, suffered the injury in Baylor’s season-opening loss to Auburn. He missed last week’s game against Prairie View A&M and had been listed as doubtful for the Louisiana Tech matchup.

Bennett threw for 314 yards and accounted for four touchdowns against Prairie View A&M, while also throwing two interceptions. His next start comes as Baylor continues without Lagway.

Louisiana Tech will also have a new quarterback. Blake Baker, the Bulldogs’ starter, is unavailable because of a hand injury, putting Trey Kukuk in line to open the game at quarterback. ESPN.com reported the quarterback updates.
