As the Dallas Cowboys prepare for the start of the 2026 NFL season, they are largely healthy, having avoided significant injuries during the offseason. However, two players on the active roster are currently dealing with injuries.
Defensive lineman Jonathan Bullard is recovering from an abs/groin injury. He was observed participating in rehab activities on September 1, indicating a possibility of his return for the season opener, though he may require more time to fully heal.
Guard Ajani Cornelius, who has shown potential in training camp, did not practice on September 2 but was seen engaging in rehab work on September 1. His availability for Week 1 will depend on his recovery progress.
Additionally, linebacker Marist Liufau and cornerback Devin Moore have been placed on injured reserve. Liufau sustained a fractured forearm during the preseason finale and underwent surgery, while Moore is dealing with a hip injury following previous groin issues during training camp. Given Moore's injury history, his contributions this season are uncertain.
Updates on Bullard and Cornelius are anticipated as the week continues, while Liufau and Moore are expected to be unavailable for a minimum of four weeks.
