Noah Brown, a former wide receiver with the Dallas Cowboys, has officially signed with the Las Vegas Raiders, as announced by the team on Sunday. This addition brings a physical and seasoned target to the Raiders' receiving lineup, leading to the release of defensive tackle Benito Jones to make room on the roster.
Throughout his career, Brown has faced significant challenges, particularly due to injuries that kept him sidelined for 19 games while with the Washington Commanders. Nevertheless, when healthy, he demonstrated his skills, recording 40 catches for 536 yards and one touchdown, with an average of 13.4 yards per reception.
Brown was selected by the Cowboys in the seventh round of the 2017 NFL Draft after his college career at Ohio State. He became a reliable player in Dallas, especially in the 2022 season, where he made 43 receptions totaling 555 yards and three touchdowns.
Following his time with the Cowboys, he joined the Houston Texans, achieving 33 receptions for 567 yards and two touchdowns, averaging 17.2 yards per catch. Over his NFL career, he has tallied 155 receptions for 2,083 yards and six touchdowns.
While the Raiders do not expect Brown to be the primary focus of their offense, his experience and physicality may provide crucial support to their receiving group. This signing offers Brown a new opportunity to advance his NFL career after facing setbacks due to injuries in Washington.
