SMU has enrolled fifth-year guard Oziyah Sellers and added him to its men’s basketball program, with his eligibility still awaiting a decision. The school did not give a timeline for that status, but Sellers is practicing with the team.
Sellers started all 36 of his games for St. John’s in 2025-26. He posted 10.3 points, 2.7 rebounds and 1.6 assists per game as the Red Storm went 30-7 and captured the Big East championship.
His previous stop was Stanford, where he started every game in 2024-25 and averaged 13.7 points per game in the ACC. Sellers played his first two college seasons at USC under SMU coach Andy Enfield. He has connected on 37.8% of his career three-point attempts, including a sophomore-season best of 42.9% at USC, and has made 86.9% of his free throws.
The move comes as SMU starts its third season under Enfield and heads into 2026-27 with a transfer class ranked No. 21 nationally by On3.
