First-time uniform violations involving socks, jerseys and undergarments are listed at $5,971, while unauthorized logos and intellectual-property violations may bring fines as high as $11,941.
A policy the NFL Players Association announced in August could make Smith eligible to recover the fine after the season. The policy allows a player with one offense in qualifying categories to receive the entire amount back, although those categories were not specified.
