TCU expects wide receiver Jordan Dwyer to be available when it opens Big 12 play against UCF on Sept. 26, although his status has not been confirmed beyond coach Sonny Dykes’ update. Dwyer has missed the Horned Frogs’ first three games because of a foot injury.
After TCU’s 31-7 win over Arkansas State, Dykes said, “We expect Jordan to play next week,” adding that Dwyer’s return would help the team. TCU is 2-1 entering conference competition.
Dwyer transferred to TCU from Idaho and started every regular-season game in 2025. He recorded 54 catches, 730 receiving yards and seven touchdowns that season. In his first game for TCU, against North Carolina, he had nine receptions totaling 136 yards and scored one touchdown.
With Dwyer out, Ed Small has emerged as one of TCU’s leading receivers, while tight end Kari Ashley made contributions against Arkansas State. Their play has given quarterback Jaden Craig multiple passing options during the opening games.
