Starting linebacker Henry To'oTo'o is expected to be sidelined for some time after hurting his shoulder in Houston's 36-31 loss to Buffalo, coach DeMeco Ryans said Monday. The injury occurred with 2:34 left in the fourth quarter as To'oTo'o tackled Bills tight end Dawson Knox. He required assistance to get up, went to the sideline and did not return.
Houston has not decided whether to put To'oTo'o on injured reserve, Ryans said. The Texans drafted him in the fifth round in 2023, and he agreed to a two-year extension worth $16 million in August. Buffalo's 36 points were Houston's second-highest allowed total during Ryans' tenure, behind the 37 points Tampa Bay scored in 2023.
It was also Houston's first game allowing more than 30 points since Baltimore scored 31 on Christmas in 2024. ESPN reported the injury update.
