Nico Collins' availability for the Houston Texans' Week 2 meeting with the Cincinnati Bengals remains unresolved after the wide receiver sat out two consecutive practices. His official game status has not been determined.
Collins sustained the hamstring issue during Houston's Wednesday workout and did not participate Thursday or Friday. NFL insider Adam Schefter reported that Texans doctors did not consider the injury serious. Ian Rapoport, speaking Friday on *The Pat McAfee Show*, said missing both practices reduced Collins' prospects of playing, while also describing the problem as apparently not serious.
Collins began the 2026 season with seven catches totaling 75 yards and one touchdown on 10 targets during Houston's 36-31 defeat to the Buffalo Bills. The 27-year-old has surpassed 1,000 receiving yards in each of his last three seasons.
ClutchPoints.com reported that he might be able to return for Houston's Week 3 game against the Indianapolis Colts on Sept. 27 if he cannot play against Cincinnati.
