The Houston Texans have officially announced their 53-man roster, which now features undrafted rookie defensive end Sabastian Harsh. Initially considered a long shot to make the team, Harsh's impressive performances during the preseason helped him earn a spot.

In an interview with Texans radio, Harsh shared his feelings of anxiety while awaiting the roster announcement. He recalled, "I spoke with my parents while waiting for the call... When I saw the roster released, I was like, Oh my gosh. Like, that is pretty cool, man."

Harsh missed the first preseason game due to an injury, increasing the pressure on him to perform well in the following games. His standout showing against the Carolina Panthers, where he achieved three tackles, one sack, a tackle for loss, two quarterback hits, and a pass breakup, significantly enhanced his chances of being selected.

Head coach DeMeco Ryans recognized Harsh's potential contributions in both pass rushing and run defense, which likely influenced the decision to include him on the team. Despite this milestone, Harsh remains committed to his development, expressing that he feels there is still much work ahead.

As the regular season nears, he will have the opportunity to learn from veteran edge rushers Will Anderson Jr. and Danielle Hunter, as observers look forward to seeing his impact on the Texans' defense in the upcoming season.
