A. Rodriguez and A. Pack Jr. delivered powerful hits to anchor the Texas Longhorns' offensive output in a decisive 14-2 victory over the Alabama Crimson Tide. The Longhorns, playing as the home team at Charles Schwab Field in Omaha, Nebraska, overwhelmed Alabama with a balanced attack that included three home runs and consistent scoring across multiple innings. The final score stood at 14-2, improving Texas’s record to 46-14 while Alabama fell to 42-21.

Early Inning Dominance

Texas established control early, taking a 3-0 lead in the first inning. A. Mendoza opened the scoring with a double to left field, allowing A. Robbins to score and advancing C. Tinney to third. Rodriguez followed with a double to right, bringing in Tinney and Mendoza to extend the advantage. Alabama responded in the second inning when L. Vaughn singled to left, scoring J. Lemm to make it 3-1. However, Texas immediately reclaimed momentum. A. Pack Jr. singled to left to score C. Borba, making it 5-1. Mendoza then singled to right, scoring Tinney to push the lead to 6-1. Rodriguez capped the inning with a triple to deep left center, driving in Pack Jr. and Mendoza to make it 7-1 heading into the fourth inning.

Home Runs Extend Lead

The Longhorns continued their assault in the sixth inning. Pack Jr. launched a home run to left field, with Robbins scoring to make it 9-2. Rodriguez followed with a home run to right, scoring C. Early to extend the margin to 11-2. In the eighth inning, Texas added three more runs. Pack Jr. singled to left, scoring Robbins, and Peterson grounded out to first, allowing Courville to score. Rodriguez then doubled to right, scoring Pack Jr. to finalize the 14-2 tally.

Pitching Performance

Ruger - P Riojas earned the win (6-2) for Texas, pitching six innings and allowing two earned runs on six hits while striking out seven batters. He was supported by Brody - P Walls, who pitched two scoreless innings with two strikeouts, and Ethan - P Walker, who recorded one strikeout in 0.1 innings. Cody - P Howard closed the game with a perfect 0.2 inning, striking out one batter.

Alabama’s pitching staff struggled to contain the Longhorns' offense. Zane - P Adams took the loss (8-5) after pitching 1.2 innings and allowing seven earned runs on seven hits. Matthew - P Heiberger pitched four innings, giving up three earned runs. Hagan - P Banks and Myles - P Upchurch also contributed, with Banks allowing one earned run in one inning and Upchurch surrendering two earned runs in 1.1 innings.
