Seith Seager was instrumental in the Texas Rangers' offensive surge, driving in three runs during a seven-run seventh and eighth innings. His performance helped Texas secure a 7-3 victory over the Boston Red Sox on Thursday at Globe Life Field.

The Rangers found themselves trailing early as Boston struck first in the top of the first inning. Contreras homered to left center, measuring 403 feet, bringing Abreu home for a 2-0 lead. Burger later added a run with a ground-rule double that scored Foscue, making it 2-1.

The Red Sox extended their advantage in the fourth inning when Foscue singled to center field, scoring Langford to tie the game at 2-2. Boston regained the lead in the fifth inning when Durbin scored on a balk, with Story also advancing to third on the same play.

However, the Rangers tied the game again later in the frame when Langford singled to center, allowing Jung to score.

Pitching Performances

Jake Bennett started for Boston, pitching 4.2 innings while allowing eight hits and three earned runs. He recorded seven strikeouts but struggled with command, issuing one walk. Greg Weissert followed with 1.1 scoreless innings, striking out one batter.

Erik Miller took the loss after giving up three earned runs in his single inning of work. Raymond Burgos closed out the Red Sox effort by allowing two hits without surrendering a run.

MacKenzie Gore started for Texas, pitching four innings and yielding three earned runs on two hits. He walked three batters and failed to record a strikeout. Jakob Junis provided relief with a perfect inning, striking out two batters while allowing no hits or walks. Nathan Eovaldi pitched four scoreless innings, earning the win with one hit allowed, no walks, and one strikeout.

Late Inning Surge

The Rangers broke the tie in the seventh inning when Nimmo doubled to center field, scoring Seager. Duran then singled to left, bringing both Burger and Nimmo home to give Texas a 6-3 lead. Seager added another run in the eighth inning by singling to right, allowing Osuna to score.

The final score was 7-3 in favor of the Rangers. The attendance was recorded at 26,364. With this win, the Rangers improved to a 76-76 record, while the Red Sox fell to 82-70.
