Scoring Sequence

Kumar Rocker started for the Rangers, pitching five innings and striking out nine batters despite allowing two earned runs on five hits. Tyler Alexander pitched one inning of relief for Texas, also striking out one batter.

For Miami, Tyler Phillips started and pitched six innings, allowing two earned runs on five hits while striking out four batters. Calvin Faucher took the loss after pitching one inning and allowing two earned runs on two hits. Michael Petersen and Anthony Bender provided relief, with Petersen striking out one batter and Bender striking out one while issuing a walk. Dax Fulton pitched a perfect inning for the Marlins, striking out one batter.
