Five pitchers keep San Francisco off the board
Five Texas pitchers combined to hold San Francisco scoreless, and Cody Bradford set the tone with 4 1/3 innings in the Rangers’ 6-0 win over the Giants on Wednesday, August 5, 2026, at Globe Life Field in Arlington, Texas.
Bradford allowed five hits, walked two and struck out five. Tyler Alexander followed with 1 2/3 innings, allowing no hits and no walks while striking out three, and earned the win to move to 2-2.
Robby Ahlstrom pitched one inning, allowing one hit with one strikeout. Chase Silseth worked one inning, giving up one hit and one walk with one strikeout. Cole Winn pitched one inning, allowing one hit with no walks and no strikeouts.
Rangers take control in the third
Texas scored all it needed in the bottom of the third. Nimmo singled to right to score Langford, giving the Rangers a 1-0 lead. Foscue followed with a triple to left that brought in Nimmo and Burger, stretching the lead to 3-0.
Díaz added another run in the same inning with a double to left that scored Foscue, making it 4-0. The four-run inning accounted for the first four Texas runs and put San Francisco in a deficit it did not cut into.
