Alcantara pitched 6.2 innings, allowing just one earned run on five hits while walking three batters. His performance included four strikeouts, capping off a career-defining night. He improved his record to 8-4 on the season. The Texas Rangers’ starting pitcher, Jose Corniell, took the loss after struggling with command and contact. Corniell pitched 3.1 innings, yielding five earned runs on seven hits and two walks while striking out three. His record fell to 0-1.

Despite the late surge, the Rangers could not complete the comeback.
