Lee supplies the swing
Two home runs by Lee helped San Francisco separate from Texas in a 5-1 win Tuesday, August 4, 2026, at Globe Life Field.
Lee homered to right center in the third inning, a 410-foot shot, and went deep again to right center in the eighth on a 385-foot drive. He also added a sacrifice fly in the ninth, giving San Francisco another run before Texas scored its only run.
The final was played before an attendance of 23,736.
Giants take the early lead
San Francisco opened the scoring in the top of the second. Gilbert singled to right, and Susac scored on a fielding error by right fielder Nimmo, with Gilbert advancing to third on the play.
Basabe followed with a sacrifice fly to right that brought in Gilbert for a 2-0 lead. Lee’s third-inning homer pushed the margin to 3-0.
Cal Quantrill took the loss for Texas, moving to 4-4. He worked 6.0 innings and allowed four hits, one earned run and one walk while striking out four.
Webb keeps Texas off the board
Logan Webb earned the win for San Francisco and improved to 7-7. He pitched 6.0 shutout innings, giving up five hits and one walk with eight strikeouts.
