Sherman, Texas — Friday's 1 p.m. fixture — Australia versus Egypt — closes out the Round of 32. The marquee event follows on July 6, when Portugal and Spain meet in a Round of 16 tie that ranks among the most anticipated knockout matches of the entire tournament.
The July 4th weekend overlap has triggered a visitor surge across DFW, with hotels, restaurants and transit systems reporting peak occupancy as fans from dozens of countries converge on the Arlington entertainment district.
AT&T Stadium will also stage a semifinal on July 14 at 2 p.m. — the first World Cup semifinal ever held in North Texas. The venue has hosted nine World Cup matches overall, the most of any stadium in the 2026 tournament.
