Emerson has released the Rosemount 350A High Performance pH/ORP Sensor, a new device intended to provide consistent readings in difficult industrial settings. The product utilizes a digital connection method to streamline both the setup and upkeep of the equipment.
Conventional analog sensors often face difficulties in high-temperature or high-pressure environments, where signal interference and complex wiring can hinder performance. The new digital unit transmits data electronically to minimize electrical noise, allowing operators to achieve stable measurements more quickly.
The sensor features a digital Modbus interface and M12 quick-connect cabling. This configuration supports plug-and-play commissioning, which helps prevent errors typically associated with manual wiring. The design also allows for interoperability across other Rosemount digital liquid analysis sensors, facilitating the use of standardized spare parts across different facilities.
Maintenance workflows are supported by the sensor’s ability to store calibration data and diagnostic information directly on the device. This feature enables bench calibration and provides maintenance teams with additional context for troubleshooting. By recording sensor health indicators and event history, the system supports proactive maintenance planning and quicker identification of root causes.
The hardware is constructed to withstand harsh conditions, offering retractable mounting styles and titanium body options. Selectable reference electrolytes are available to accommodate challenging process chemistries, helping to extend sensor life in applications affected by temperature, pressure, or coating issues.
