The two organizations have established a thirteen-year frame agreement that includes options for expansion. This contract builds upon existing digitalization efforts and long-standing cooperation between the firms, which has spanned more than four decades. Emerson will provide a wide range of measurement tools and lifecycle services to help Equinor extend field life, improve recovery rates, and standardize operations.
Slawomir Suchomski, Emerson president of Europe, described the company as a trusted technology supplier for over forty years. Emerson has previously supplied various automation technologies to Equinor, including subsea multiphase flow meters, downhole monitoring systems, valves, emissions management systems, control systems, asset management systems, and safety instrumentation.
