Mouser Electronics has begun stocking the MSPM0G5187 mixed-signal microcontrollers from Texas Instruments. The new components are built on the Arm Cortex-M0+ 32-bit core platform and utilize an ultra-low-power system architecture designed to enhance performance while lowering energy usage.
These microcontrollers are targeted at applications that require up to 128KB of flash memory in either small or high-pin-count packages, including home appliances, medical devices, building automation systems, mobile phones, and wearables.
A key feature of the MSPM0G5187 series is an edge AI neural processing unit accelerator, which supports sensing, processing, and control tasks within the MSPM0 platform. The chips provide up to 128KB of embedded flash program memory with built-in error correction code, along with up to 32KB of SRAM protected by ECC and parity.
To facilitate field firmware updates, the flash memory is organized into two main banks with address-swap support.
Connectivity options include a USB 2.0 full-speed interface with an integrated PHY, clock source, and termination resistors, enabling compliant host-mode and crystal-less device-mode functions. The microcontrollers also incorporate four configurable serial interface modules and a digital audio interface for various audio applications.
Security features comprise an AES accelerator supporting multiple modes, secure storage for up to four AES keys, and flexible firewalls to protect code and data.
