Sherman ISD students return to class Tuesday, Aug. 11, the first day of the 2026-27 school year.
The district has posted first-day guidance, including bus route information, on its back-to-school page. Registration is still open for families who have not enrolled.
Finding your bus
Sherman ISD uses Transfinder routing software, and families look up their own stop through the InfoFinder-I tool on the district's Find Your Bus page.
The search runs on your street address, and both the house number and the street name are required. Leaving the campus and grade level blank returns results for all campus levels.
The district cautions that while it works to keep the system current, some bus numbers may change.
If the search returns nothing, the district asks families to use the Contact Us button on the InfoFinder page and submit the form with a phone number, which lets the transportation office enter the student into the system directly.
Sherman ISD also offers the Here Comes the Bus app, which families can use to follow their student's bus.
Who qualifies
Two conditions have to be met. A student must live within their campus attendance zone, and must live two or more miles from their assigned campus.
