Motorists experienced congestion on a major highway in Sherman on Monday morning following a vehicle collision. The incident occurred in the southbound lanes of U.S. Highway 75, prompting authorities to manage the flow of vehicles through the area.
Sherman police identified the location of the crash as being just south of the FM 691 overpass, which sits near the border between Sherman and Denison. The accident blocked portions of the roadway, leading to significant delays for drivers traveling in that direction.
To keep traffic moving, officials temporarily diverted southbound vehicles at the FM 691 exit. This detour allowed emergency responders to address the situation without completely halting all movement on the corridor.
By just before noon, traffic had resumed normal movement along the highway. The duration of the slowdown and any injuries resulting from the crash were not detailed in initial reports.
