Sherman, Texas, sits approximately 30 miles north of the Dallas Cowboys' headquarters in Frisco.

The Dallas Cowboys have reached an agreement with tight end Brevyn Spann-Ford on a three-year contract extension, according to his agent Mike McCartney. The announcement was made via social media on Thursday. Spann-Ford, who is currently scheduled to become a restricted free agent in 2027, will remain with the team through the 2029 season under the new terms.

He was set to earn $966,666 during the current campaign before the extension took effect. The former Minnesota Golden Gopher entered the league as an undrafted free agent in 2024. Since that time, he has appeared in all 34 games for Dallas.

His consistent play allowed him to take over the role of the team's second tight end, displacing Luke Schoonmaker, who was selected in the second round of the 2023 draft.

While his receiving statistics include 18 catches for 178 yards and one touchdown, his value has been defined by his versatility. Over the past two seasons, Spann-Ford has participated in 25.5 percent of the team's offensive snaps. He also logged 357 special teams plays last year, establishing himself as a key contributor on that unit.

Details regarding the specific financial structure or average annual value of the extension were not provided by the agent.
