Nico Collins will miss Houston’s game against the Cincinnati Bengals after sustaining a Grade 1 hamstring injury during Wednesday’s practice. He was absent from the Texans’ final two practices before being listed as out on the team’s final injury report.

Houston has not determined whether Collins will be available for its Week 3 meeting with the Indianapolis Colts. His condition is still being assessed, according to a report by Aaron Wilson. No additional information about a return was provided.

Collins opened the season with seven catches, 75 yards and a touchdown in Houston’s 36-31 defeat against Buffalo. He has been one of the Texans’ leading offensive contributors during the last three seasons. Kayshon Boutte, Xavier Hutchinson and Jaylin Noel are among the receivers who could take on larger roles against Cincinnati.

Jayden Higgins will not be available after an ACL injury ended his season. C.J. Stroud found 11 different teammates in the opener, and Houston is seeking its first victory of the season.
