Rangers Build Early Lead
The Texas Rangers established their advantage in the top of the first inning. Joc Pederson launched a 402-foot home run to right field, providing the initial run of the game. The momentum continued in the third inning when the Rangers added four more runs. Corey Seager scored on a three-run home run by Evan Carter, who blasted the ball 401 feet to left center. Shortly after, Josh Jung followed with a two-run shot to left field, measuring 378 feet, as Seager crossed the plate again. Toronto began its comeback attempt in the fifth inning. Bo Bichette hit a sacrifice fly to center field, allowing Vladimir Guerrero Jr. to score, making it 6-1. In the same frame, George Springer doubled to left field, driving in two more runs as Guerrero and Bo Bichette crossed the plate. This surge narrowed the gap to 6-3. The Blue Jays continued to apply pressure in the ninth inning. Vladimir Guerrero Jr. hit a 420-foot home run to center field, scoring Bo Bichette and cutting the deficit to 6-5.
