Safety Reminders

Given the severity of the Extreme Heat Warning, it is critical to take precautions to stay safe. Hydrate frequently by drinking water even if you do not feel thirsty. Limit outdoor exertion, especially during the midday hours when the sun is strongest.

Seek air-conditioned environments as much as possible. Check on neighbors, particularly the elderly and those without air conditioning, to ensure their safety. Never leave people or pets in parked vehicles, as temperatures inside can rise rapidly to lethal levels.

Stay informed by monitoring local weather updates for any changes in the warning status.
