With Kaden Sieracki as the only returning full-time starter at right tackle, the team is adjusting to the absence of Yakiri Walker, a Memphis transfer who was anticipated to fill the center position but has now transitioned to a coaching role after his injunction was denied.
In Walker's absence, Koltin Sieracki has emerged as a strong candidate for the center spot. Offensive line coach Austin Woods remarked on Koltin's extensive practice reps over the summer, indicating that he is ready to start against Auburn. Woods commended Sieracki's ability to lead and communicate effectively, noting his high level of performance.
Koltin Sieracki, who is 6 feet 4 inches tall and weighs 317 pounds, served as Baylor's sixth lineman last season and has experience starting at both right guard and center. Although initially expected to play guard this year, he has shifted his focus to center, a position he favors. "I actually prefer center," Sieracki stated, highlighting his comfort and enjoyment in the role.
The offensive line's setup continues to develop, with Texas transfer Nate Kibble and South Alabama transfer Asher Hale reportedly working alongside Sieracki at guard. UAB transfer Logan Moore is positioned at left tackle, while Toledo transfer Cole Rhett is being used in multiple roles, suggesting he may be vying for a starting position or could take on Sieracki's former sixth lineman role.
Woods noted the progress of Rhett and Hale as they gain valuable experience during fall camp, with the final offensive line lineup yet to be confirmed ahead of the match against Auburn.
