The Atlanta Braves delivered a comprehensive offensive display on Friday, July 17, 2026, overwhelming the Texas Rangers with 15 runs at Truist Park. Key Scoring Plays

Pitching Performance

Chris Sale was the standout pitcher for Atlanta, earning the win with a stellar performance. Sale pitched seven innings, allowing only two hits and zero earned runs while striking out six batters. He improved his record to 10-6. Victor Mederos closed out the game, pitching two innings and allowing one earned run on three hits with one strikeout.

The Texas Rangers’ pitching staff struggled to contain Atlanta’s lineup. Cal Quantrill took the loss, pitching four innings and allowing six earned runs on 11 hits with three strikeouts. His record fell to 3-2.

Emiliano Teodo pitched 1.2 innings, giving up two earned runs. Gavin Collyer allowed four earned runs in one inning, while Kyle Higashioka surrendered three earned runs in his one inning of work. Ben Peoples pitched 0.1 innings without allowing any runs.

Final Records

With this victory, the Atlanta Braves improved their record to 56-40. The Texas Rangers fell to 49-48 on the season.
