Peters Drives Six Runs

Tristan Peters drove in three runs and collected two hits to lead the Chicago White Sox past the Texas Rangers 11-7 on Tuesday at Rate Field. The standout performance by Peters helped Chicago take control early, as the home team scored six runs in the first inning alone to establish a commanding lead that they never relinquished.

The White Sox finished with a record of 69-63, while the Rangers dropped to 66-67 after the loss.

First-Inning Surge

The game was decided in the opening frame. Chicago erupted for six runs in the top of the first inning, scoring on a throwing error by left fielder Langford, a single by B. Montgomery, a double by Peters, and a single by Doyle.

This initial burst put the Rangers on the back foot, and despite efforts by Jacob deGrom and the bullpen, Texas could not overcome the deficit. The White Sox added four more runs in the fifth and two in the sixth to close the game out.

Pitching Performance

Jacob deGrom took the loss for Texas, pitching 3.2 innings while allowing six hits and eight earned runs. He issued five walks and struck out two batters before being replaced by Cole Winn, Peyton Gray, Jordan Montgomery, and Tyler Alexander. For the White Sox, Anthony Kay started but struggled, allowing four earned runs in 4.2 innings.

Bryan Hudson earned the win, pitching 1.1 scoreless innings, while Grant Taylor recorded the save in 0.1 innings.

Home Run Production

The game featured four home runs total. Burger homered to center in the second inning for the Rangers. For Chicago, Jansen hit a two-run homer to left in the fifth, Foscue hit a two-run homer to left in the sixth, and Peters closed the scoring with a solo homer to right in the sixth.
